YAEGER FAMILY REUNION - Takes Place Sunday Afternoon at Home of Mrs. Chas.
Yaeger
A family reunion in honor of Peter Yeager of the 10th Infantry band at
Fort Benj. Harrison, Indianapolis, Ind., was held at the home of his mother
Mrs. Chas. Yaeger in this city, Sunday, March 17, 1918. The event being
doubly significent from the fact that he will probably not be able to see
any of the guests present until his return from "Over There." The day
also marked the seventh anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
McCafferty.
The guests present were: Mrs. Chas Yaeger, daughter Emma and son Charles;
Mr. and Mrs. A. H. NORTON and children, Ivan, Frank, Sylvia, Warren and Norman;
Mr. and Mrs. V. PRIESSNITZ and children, Tressa, Vincent, Malinda, and Louise;
Mr. and Mrs. Frank VAN DUSEN and children, Lula, Agnes, Norma; Mr. and Mrs.
Chas. McCAFFERTY and children, Ollie Samuel, Chester and baby; Messrs and
Mesdames Geo. MOORE, Leonard WALTERS, Wm. VAN DUSEN, all of Mauston. The
out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Peter YAEGER, Redfield, S.D.,
a brother of the guest of honor. The brothers have not seen each other for
thirteen years since Peter joined the Regulars. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. HORN
and children, Gladys and Adelaide, of New Lisbon; Mr. and Mrs. Carl MARTIN,
Mrs. Clint HALVENSTOT, Miss Lena YAEGER of Madison.
Peter Yaeger and family left here Monday for a short visit at Reedsburg and
Madison before going to their home at Indianapolis. Richard left the
same day for his home in Redfield, S.D.
This was one of the largest and most enjoyable family reunions ever held
in this vicinity, over 50 guests being present, and all joined in the fervent
wish that the guest of honor will have a safe and speedy trip and be able
to return to enjoy many more such occasions with them The
