I do hereby appoint him Corporal in Company G of the twenty third regiment of Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry in the service of the United States, to rank as such from the first day of July one thousand eight hundred and sixty four. He is therefore carefully and diligently to discharge the duty of Corporal by doing and perfroming all manners of things thereunto belonging. And I do strictly charge and require all Non Commissioned Officers and Soldiers under his command to obedient to his orders as Corporal. Obituary: DIED THRALL: - William Lewis Thrall was born in Indiana, October 28, 1852, and died unexpectedly of heart disease at his home in the town of Clearfield last Sunday evening. In 1855 with his parents he moved to the town of Clearfield where he has since lived.
He was married to Miss Cora Ross Dec. 25, 1888 and to this union were born two children, Levi and Leis, who with a sorrow-stricken wife are left to mourn his untimely death.
Funeral services were conducted from his late home this morning at 10 o'clock, by Rev. Stubbert and burial was in the New Lisbon cemetery. The TIMES extends sympathy to the bereaved family.

Obituary - Cora Thrall Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday, November 17, 1953, at the Wahl Funeral Home for Miss Cora Lucille Thrall who passed away at 7:00 o'clock p.m. on November 14 at her home in the town of Clearfield. Rev. Otto McKegney officiated at the last rites. Mrs. Donald Robinson and Mrs. Robert Dvorak sang hymns of comfort. Burial was made in the New Lisbon cemetery. She was born January 27, 1922 to Levi C. & Ethel M. Thrall in the town of Clearfield where she spent her entire life. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Oak Grove Homemakers. She received her education in the Rock Hill and New Lisbon high schools.
One brother, John Clifford, preceded her in death. She is survived by her parents, one brother, Harold, besides many relatives and a host of friends.
