PAYING THE INDIANS
Work at Black River Falls will be Completed Today
Black River Falls, Wis., Sept. 7 - [Special] - The Indian payment will practically end in this city today. Special Disbursing Agent Mess will proceed to Wittenberg, where the Big Hawk band are paid. Necedah, Mauston, Friendship and Tomah follows in the order named. The youngest native on the rolls was an infant daughter of Nellie Cornill of Cartwright. The child weighed two pounds and nine ounces and was two weeks old. The oldest member was Ah-oo-cho-Koh of Tomah, now 105 years of age. He is a brother of chief Dandy, who was a power and ruled over the tribe fifty years ago.
