Mickesey 1865

The Mauston Star  says the Indians who usually encamp in that vicinity, are now greatly excited in consequence of the mysterious disappearance of one of their tribe.  His name is Mickesey, and he started from White Creek, Adams county, between three and four weeks ago, to go to Tunnel city, in Monroe county, but has never arrived there and cannot be heard of.  The Indians believe that he has been murdered.  The population of Mauston is 767.
