Sergt. Mason's wife has been offered twenty five dollars per month to work
in a Chicago store, but declines. She says she has always lived on
a farm and would feel "out of place" in a store. The Mauston Star,

J. W. Mason, of Marion, returned Tuesday from Madison, Dakota, where he has
been a few months. He lived in Troy, Ohio, in 1840, and cast his first
vote for Gen. Harrison for President, and he assures us that if he lives
until the 6th of November, he will vote for Harrison and Morton. The
