• Monday night lightning struck th enew barn of Wm. Hoile in Lemonweir, doing about $50 damage to the structure and killing his team and two colts that were in the barn, four horses in all valued at about $500 and insured at $400.  The barn was a brand new structure and was considerably damated. Juneau Chronicle (Mauston), 08 Jun 1911
