Jeff. T. Heath came down again from Cumberland, Friday evening. He
says the winter has been a fairly propitious one for the jolly loggers of

We notice in the Milwaukee papers the filing of articles of association with
the secretary of state, incorporating the Beaver Lake Lumber Company in which
our townsman, Jeff T. Heath, is one of the incorporators. The capital
stock is $250,000 and the principal place of business is Cumberland, Barron

George F. Heath of Portland, Oregon was in town several days renewing old
acquaintances. From here he went to Clearfield to visit his old friend
Had Smtih. Mr. Heath is engaged in the timber business out west and
Dame Fortune has been very considerate of him. We acknowledge a cheerful
call from the gentleman. He will depart today for Minnesota to get
