Daddy's Column

Daddy wants to know who was the first white child born in Juneau Co.?
I don't know, but Mrs. John Benson, of Clifton, Monroe Co., Wis., daughter of Knudt Ormson, was born on Sec. 9, Lindina, on land now owned by O. G. Felland, on Sept. 20, 1851

Ole Gjermundson Tvedt is one of the oldest settlers.  He still lives on Sec. 8, Lindina, and has been there since 1850, but came to Juneau County or Adams County as it was then called, before that time.  I think that the boys and girls will have to get Daddy Hanson to help them to answer some of those questions.
