The Circuit Court for Juneau County was in session last week.  Among the cases disposed of at this term, from this side of the county were, the State vs. Victor MALLOWS, of Wonewoc, in which the defendant was found guilty of an assault with intent to commit rape.  On account of his youth and good character the judge gave him the lightest sentence known to the law, in such cases - one year in state prison.

The charge in the case of State vs. Duane HASKINS, Bert THURSTON and Harry BURRIS was changed to larceny, to which the boys plead guilty and the judge gave them each a fine and cost amounting to twenty-five dollars, in default of payment, sixty days in the county jail.

The State vs. John WILLIAMS was dismissed and the defendant charged by the judge that if he got out of the county before another warrant was issued for him he would be all right, and he took the advice and skipped.

The case of BABCOCK vs. the town of Plymouth for damage caused by a defective highway was tried and verdict rendered of no cause of action.

In the case of Amelia BARGE vs. G. WESLEY BARGE a decree of divorce was guaranteed.
