CEMETERY IMPROVEMENTS

Mauston Star
May 17, 1888

We notice quite a number of fine monuments lately erected in our cemetery by John Sherwood, Agent for the old and reliable firm of H. Doherty, Portage.  Among the number is one to the memory of Wilbur Sykes, erected by his wife; a very fine one by James Ballentine for his mother; one by Wm. Jackson for his wife; one by Thomas Ellsworth, and also by Robert Severance.  Mr. Sherwood has had charge of the cemetery several years and takes pride in improving it.  He will promptly attend to all orders for improvement in marble and granite, as well as clay, cheaper than can be done by people at a distance.
