Platteville; was born March 8, 1830; came to Wisconsin in 1850, now owns 120 acres of land on which he has made the improvements; his wife was Miss Burney, afterward Mrs. Evans, a native of Wayne Co., Ohio; they married in 1862. In politics a Republican; in religion, Methodist. Has been Clerk and Director of Schools, also Assessor and Pathmaster.
