My g grandmother Ida PETT(E)Y gave Lafayette Co as birthplace in 1864 or 1869; parents John PETTY and Almira HASTINGS. But John PETTY appears in index of Grant Co (Harrison Twp and Potosi) for 1850,1860,1870 censuses. A Harrison-Petty cemetery exists in Grant Co. I seek information on the PETTY familes of this area to connect with Ida and her brother Albert B PETT(E)Y born in the 1850s. A John PETTY also appears in Shullsburg, Lafayette Co census indices for 1850, 1860, 1870.
