CLARK, CLARKE, DRONE

Shelley Block Wed Mar 29 2000 8:32 pm
Searching for information on the siblings and parents of Angeline Clark (or Clarke) who married Andrew Washington Drone on January 1, 1860 in Iowa County, Wisconsin. Andrew Drone was a resident of Muscoda, Grant County, Wisconsin, since 1856 when he moved there with his father and siblings from Pennsylvania. He and Angeline (Clark) Drone lived in the Muscoda area after their marriage. Their marriage record indicates Angeline's parents were Justus Clark (born Scotland) and Catherine ? (born New York). Angeline was born in New York circa 1843-1845 and possibly had a brother named Justus Clark who was living in Potosi Village, Grant County, Wisconsin at the time of the 1860 federal census for Wisconsin. There was also a Chester Clark in Grant County who may have been related. Andrew and Angeline's children, all of whom were born in Grant County, were: Katherine, Thomas Jefferson (my g-grandfather), John Justice, Jacob Friedrich, Edward Darian, William O., Frederick L., and Andrew Washington. Angeline died on November 16, 1881 and is buried in the Hickory Flat School Cemetery. Does anyone have information on Angeline Clark Drone's parents and/or siblings? If so, please contact Shelley Block at [email protected].

UDELHOFEN, UDELHOVEN

Jackie Flaherty Sun Mar 26 2000 9:28 pm
Hi, I'm looking for the obituary of Mathias UDELHOFEN. I believe he died July9, 1987 in Beetown, Lancaster or Capsville, WI. His birthdate is April 26, 1881, so that would have made him 16 years old when he died - apparently struck by lightening. I would like either the obituary or a newspaper article. His parents were John & Katherine UDELHOFEN (UDELHOVEN). Thanks for any help you can give.

BUSHNELL, SCHAAP

Bill Phillips Wed Mar 22 2000 12:48 pm
Two BUSHNELL brothers married two SCHAAP sisters in Grant county. Levi Newton BUSHNELL married Johanna SCHAAP and Daniel Willis BUSHNELL married Elizabeth SCHAAP. In addition, I believe Benjamin SCHAAP was born there. All three males ended up as homesteaders in SD. The SCHAAPs came to Holland, MI in 1847 and appear in an 1850 census of Ottawa county. Johanna's father Jan obtained a land patent in Ottawa county, MI i 1850. They next appear in a JoDavis, IL 1860 census. Unless I can find something about when, why and which ones went to WI I have lost them until they appear in SD.

I need help researching my woodward lineage. My great grandfather JOSUHA WOODWARD was born in ky abt 1815 and came to GRANT CO, WI abt 1846. He married Elizabeth Wayne in 1850 and moved to Crawford Co, Wi. He moved to Mo abt 1865 and was in Cloud Co Ks in 1880. I an trying to learn who his parents were.

There is a Cathrine Woodward born in 1763 and died in 1860, buried in the Wayne cemetery in Crawford Co. She probably is related to Joshua and Micheal.

He married Adeline Elledge in 1837 in Pike co, IL.
