AMES, HUNTINGDON. Milo and Louisa BAKER Ames came from Erie County, PA to Green Bay in the mid-1800s. There were three children: Emma, Rose, and
Harris (Harry). Emma didn't marry. Harry is thought to have remained a bachelor. Rose married Charles Huntingdon and had several children. The family lived in Green Bay and can be documented into the 1930s. Milo died in 1918, Louisa 1933. Louisa was my grandfather's sister and I have received several photos and other documents I'd like to share with descendents.
I am researching the descendants of Jacob KUBIAK (1871-1894) who lived in Brown County. One of his sons was Felix, who had a dairy farm in the Eaton area. Felix died in 1950. I am trying to discover who Jacob's parents were, as there is a possibility that he might have been a sibling of my maternal grandfather, Anton Kubiak (1872-1937) who lived in Pulaski, Brown County.
I am looking for any information you might have on the LIESSE family that arrived and settled in Green Bay in 1871, from their home in Brabant, Belgium..can you give me a list of the good resources in Green Bay County that would be helpful to my research? They were Catholic so I think they would have had connections with the church there. They were: August Joseph and Marie Catherine (SANDRAP) LIESSE. They arrived in August 1871 with their seven children. I do not know if they joined other family members who had already come to Green Bay. Their children married and continued to live in Green Bay. I believe August and Marie Catherine LIESSE may be buried in Green Bay.
