I am interested in the SCHULTZ, BADGER, and HUDSON families in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I believe that my great grandfather, Otis Franklin Badger, came to Green Bay from Augusta, Maine, and married Caroline Elizabeth Hudson. She had a brother, David W hudson, who was well known for devising paper folding machinery. Otis and Caroline (Callie) adopted a daughter, Edith, who married Edward Schultz. He may have been from Chicago. They had two children, Elsie and Lewis (who was my father, born 1891). Edith died (date unknown) when her children were young. Edward Schultz and son Lewis went into service together in the first World War , and afterward
Edward returned to Chicago where he worked for a railroad. He was murdered (date unknown), allegedly by a former co-worker who blamed him for his discharge.
I would like to contact anyone who is also researching these families, with a view to learning: Any facts about Otis Badger, especially when and why he came to Green Bay.Any facts about Edward Schultz especially birth and death dates and names of other family members. Any facts about Edith Schultz, especially biological parents and dates of birth and death.

Looking for information about the VAN_VONDEREN / VANVONDEREN of Brown Co. One of my TOUCHETTE ancestors (Mary?) married a VAN VONDEREN (Lyle?), possibly around 1894-5, either in Brown or Oconto Co. I have a wedding photo sent to "Mrs. Touchette" showing the happy couple and signed (I assume) by the groom's parents, but it doesn't identify the couple. Family stories link the two families, but I need the particulars. Happy to share info & a copy of the photo.

Need help with the family PETERSON that lived in New Denmark in 1860 through at least 1870. The husband is Hans PETERSON, age 42 in 1860, born in Denmark. Children include Johanna, born in November 1858, my great grandmother. Problem is I have confusing information concerning the wife. In the 1860 census she was listed as Susan, age 37, born in Denmark. In the house was living a Christian Hanson, 75, also born in Denmark (Susan's mother???). However, in 1870, the wife was listed as Rakea (as best I could determine), age 48. In the house was living Resthena or Restheria SCULLS, age 85. To further confuse the situation on Johanna's death certificate her mother was listed as Ulricka SCHULTZ (not a very Danish name). Could anyone help clear up this confusion. Their other children were Christena, Peter, Caroline, Kestun and Marina in the 1870 census. None appeared in the 1880 census. Christena married H. JENSEN. Kestun (or Katie) married Peter HANSEN and Marina (or Minnie) married an ORMSBY.

I'm looking for some help in Brown County, WI. My grandfather, Bernard Melven HANSEN, listed his birthplace as Manitowoc, WI in the WWI draft registration. He was born 5 DEC 1895 according to folklore, but the birthdate is 1890 according to the WWI draft registration. A letter to the register of deeds office in Manitowoc turned up nothing for either date. They did say that records for 1890 were spotty because they weren't required to register births until 1907. They also mentioned a church that was called Norway Lutheran Church in Brown County as a source of birth records.
Bernard was Norwegian, and Lutheran. I do not know where to start to find this church, or where they sent the records if it's no longer in existence. I'm asking for a kind soul to point me in the right direction, if at all possible.

Phoenix in 1818). William Bruce was "a government agent who was considedred very rich." Ann returned to NY with a 2 or 3 year old boy named William Whitehead ( child of 1st marriage? illegitimate child? orphan?). Ann married Amos Older in Farmersville, Cattaraugus co., NY in 1828, and the child was thereafter called William Older.
