Obituary of Josephine Doherty Matzke - December 17, 1951

Mrs. Matt Matzke, Sr, 87, died in a local hospital Monday evening after an extended illness.  She had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Camille Derenne at 225 Newhall Street.  The former Josephine Doherty, she was born in Glenmore, and was married to Matt Matzke 62 years ago.  Her husband died 18 years ago.  A son and daughter also preceded her in death.  Survivors are two sons, Ray and  Matt Jr, Green Bay, three daughters, Mrs. Henry Kellner, Mrs. Ed Kaufman, and Mrs. Derrene, all of Green Bay, a step son, Felix Matzke, Green Bay, and a step daughter, Mrs. Nick Golueke, Allouez.  Also surviving are 35 grand children and 14 great grand children. Burial will be in Allouez Cemetery.
