J.B. Forsythe Passes Away
Veteran of Two Wars Dies of General Debility, Aged 86.
Came to Green Bay Seventy Years Ago.

His Father, Andrew Forsythe, Was Stationed at Old Fort Howard. He Lived in Bay Settlement for Many Years
Funeral Tomorrow Morning.

Jerome B. Forsythe, a veteran of the Mexican and the Civil wars, died at h is home in Bay Settlement yesterday of general debility, aged 86 years. He lived for a number of years at old Fort Howard, where his father, Andrew Forsythe, was stationed as an officer.

Since the Civil war he has resided continuously on his farm in Preble.

In former years Mr. Forsythe was quite prominent in the affairs of this section, but the latter part of his life was spent in comparative retirement. He was born in Canada and came to Green Bay with his parents in the 30's. His wife died about a year ago. A brother, Andrew, who also served through the Mexican and Civil wars, lives on an adjoining farm.

Among a number of relatives surviving Mr. Forsythe in this vicinity are Frank C. Smith and George Snavely of this city and Mrs. Louis Bender of Benderv ille, who are respectively nephews and niece of the deceased. He also leaves six sons and four daughters.

The funeral will be held from the Catholic Church at Bay Settlement at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Interment will be at Bay Settlement.
