Obituary of Frank Matzke - March 27, 1983

Frank P. Matzke, 79, 413 S. Sixth St., De Pere, died Saturday morning at a local hospital.

He was born Nov. 23, 1903, in the town of DePere.  He was the son of the late Phillip and Elizabeth (Reushenbach) Matzke.

Frank married the former Genevieve VanRemortel, Aug. 27, 1941, at St. Francis Church.  He was a member of St. Bonafice Ushers and Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry, of Green Bay, John of Rockford, Ill, and Ronald (Linda) of Green Bay, one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Mary) Gilson, of De Pere; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, five brothers, Carl, William, Joseph, and Sylvester of De Pere, and Wilbur of Green Bay, one sister, Mrs. Eleanor Vermiere, Green Bay.

He was preceded in death by one son, Bruce, and three brothers, Phillip, Ed, and Art. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
