The Resource Center Hours are:
Mondays 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Closed for the Season November 8, 2017 thru February 2018)
CLOSED: Memorial Day, July 4, Halloween, Labor Day, January and December.
NOTE: The monthly public meetings are not held at the Resource Center!
Enter the Resource Center thru the back door entrance off of the 4th Street rear parking lot or thru the front door in the middle of the building from LaSalle Avenue. If entering off LaSalle Avenue look for signs inside the building to the stairs or to the elevator.
Use of the Resource Center is FREE and open to the public for pursuit of their family history on Mondays, 2 pm-6pm. The facility is wheelchair accessible, with 2 society computers that have internet access. The room is also Wi-Fi equipped for those who wish to bring their own laptop or notebook computers. Volunteers can help beginners, but to ensure that the appropriate level of expertise is available, please contact the society if you have special questions regarding your family history or the records of Barron County.

The Resource Center does not have provisions for children.
"We have collected many records of genealogical value to Barron County residents," Denise Ervasti reported. "From Church histories to military records, we have a variety of records for patrons to research," continued Ervasti. "Our collection continues to grow; we encourage anyone who has Barron County records of genealogical records to donate them to the Society," said Ervasti. The BHGS would like old Barron County telephone books, Church membership records and histories, fraternal society membership records, cemetery information and records, plat books, school records, family histories, and any records that name people and put them in a certain place at a certain time."
The Blue Hills Genealogical Society-Barron County is an Affiliate of the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society and a member of the Federation of Genealogical Societies. Anyone interested in genealogy is invited to join the Society which meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Barron Senior Citizen Center,12 North 3rd Street, Barron WI 54812.
