When you are doing research in WI, please don't forget the Univeristy archives.
The general public, genealogists, local history buffs, students and scholars
are encouraged to use their collections, to include letters, diaries, local
histories, maps and photographs; as well as county, township, school, and
city records. Each Center also serves as the University Archives. Expect to find:
Census Records (both U.S. and State of Wisconsin)
Death Certificates before 1907 (and statewide index)
Birth Certificates before 1907 (and statewide index)
Marriage Certificates before 1907 (and statewide index)
