Robert W Roseberry, 78, of Friendship, died Friday, Dec 20, at the Adams County Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Robert was born Sept 10, 1907, in Hancock, married Bertah R Fossum Nov 5, 1931. She predeceased him on Dec 3, 1980.
He was in the undertaking business with his brother Edmond in Friendship until his retirement in 1968. He was a past president of the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association. He was a member of the Quincy Lodge F & A M and the Zor Shrine; past secretary of teh Adams County Fair Board; and the first president of the Adams County Memorial Hospital, where he served on the board of directors for many years. He was also a past member of the Adams County Board of Supervisors, a clerk of the Adams-Friendship High School Board. he found time to be a tree farmer as well.
He is survived by: two daughters, Roberta Ebert and Lee Ann Allen both of Friendship; a brother Edmond, Friendship; a sister Mary Lopez, Seymour, Ind; and four grandsons. He was predeceased by a son Loren.
Funeral services for Roseberry were held Monday, Dec 23, at 11 am in Roseberry's Funeral Home, Friendship, with the Rev Glenn A Dunn officiating. Burial was in Mt Repose Cemetery, Friendship.
