Mrs Jennie Schoff died at her home near White Creek, Friday evening, Feb 2, 1912 of Brights disease.
Jennie Ketcham Twist was born at Colman, SD July 28, 1884, where she lived until 1896, when with her parents she moved to Dell Rapids, SD where she remained nearly three years. In the fall of 1898 she came with her parents to White Creek, Wis. She was at one time a successful school teacher, having taught several terms of school in her new home county. Being of a loving, happy disposition, she won friends everywhere. While quite young she took and active part in Sabbath School work, part of the time as organist and part of the time as a teacher. On Jan 25, 1904 she united with the Congregational church at White Creek, at which at the time of her death she was a member.
She was united in marriage with Earl Schoff Aug 22, 1907. She was a loving wife and fond mother. There are left to mourn their loss a husband, three small children, a father, two sisters and one brother, besides a host of friends as was attested by the number that gathered to pay their last respects to one whom they loved.
Funeral services were held at the home and at the church at White Creek Monday afternoon, Feb 5, conducted by her pastor, Rev Deans assisted by the Easton choir. The church was draped in Beaver colors as she was a member of that organization. Why one so young and with such a bright prospect should be taken away we do not know. Some time we'll understand
We desire to express our gratitude to our friends and neighbors for their sympathy and kindness to us during the sickness and death of our beloved Jennie. To those who contributed flowers, also to the Easton choir.
