A newspaper in Bloomington, Ind printed the following with respect to the death of Frank Schoonover, who grew up in the town of Easton:
The death of Frank E Schoonover occurred Monday afternoon, January 24, at the home of his wife's parents, Mr and Mrs Ben Cravens, east of town. Mr Schoonover had been in failing health for several months, having been afflicted with tuberculosis of the throat. He was 27 years of age and his home was in Easton, Wisconsin. He was an ex-serviceman and had been a successful teacher in a military school at Morganza, Pa, before failing health forced him to give up that work. He was united in marriage to Miss Angie Cravens of this place about two years ago at Morganza, Pa, where she was a teacher in the same school with him. Last Jun, Mr and Mrs Schoonover went to Colorado in the hope of benefitting his health and remained there until about a month ago, when they came to the home of her parents.
He was a man of excellent character and ability, with bright prospects for the future. The young wife has the sympathy of the entire community in her bereavement.
The funeral services will be held at the home of Mr and Mrs Cravens Wednesday afternoon and the burial will be in Grand View cemetery.
