Elma Sarah Edmonds Elderkin, 101, Villa Pines Nursing Center, died last Tuesday, Jan 13, 1985, at the Adams Cuonty Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Services were held Friday at Roseberry's Funeral Home, with the Rev Glenn Dunn officiating. Interment was in the Plainville Cemetery.
Mrs Elderkin was born Nov 27, 1883, in Plainville, one of five children of Mr and Mrs J Clark Edmonds. She married Dana Nicholas Elderkin on Nov 23, 1904 in Wisconsin Dells. He preceed in death in 1963.
She grew up in the Plainville area and was an elementary school teacher at several area schools for many years. In 1963, she moved to Wisconsin Rapids, where she lived with a daughter. She had been a resident of Villa Pines since 1982. She had been a member of the White Creek Congregational Church.
Survivors include one son, Clark, San Francisco, Calif; two daughters, Joy Roller, Wisconsin Rapids, and Arlene Babcock, Wisconsin Dells; ten grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
