Funeral services for Charles (Len) Leonard Colby, 94, a resident of the Town of Easton, were held Saturday morning at the Roseberry Funeral Home with the Rev J W Davies in charge.
Mr Colby died Thursday afternoon, Aug 2, at his home as the result of a stroke.
The son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Colby, he was born Nov 24, 1867, in the Town of Easton. He was a lifelong resident of the County and operated a store in Easton and later at White Creek for 45 years. His wife, the former Josephine Mihm, died in 1949.
Surviving are three sons, George, Grand marsh; Alfred, Houston, Tex, and Harold at home; two daughters, Mrs Ruth Burns, Briggsville, and Louise, at home; 12 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Burial was in the Easton Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
