Cecil Jennie Pishion, daughter of John and Mary Jane DeLap, was born on July 3rd, 1883, on a homestead near Lisbon, North Dakota.
In 1894 her parents moved to Wisconsin where her father did farming, except for 9 years in Nekoosa and Wisconsin Rapids.
While living there she graduated from the Wood Co Normal. After teaching in Wood Co schools for 3 years, she took a summer course at Stevens Point Teacher's College. She taught in rural schools of Adams Co and the primary grades of Grand Marsh and Juda, in Green Co.
In 1920 she was married to Joseph W Pishion of Easton, A daughter Beverly, was born to them in 1923.
In 1957 they retired from farming and bought a home in Oxford. While living there, they attended and became members of the New Chester Church.
In 1965, they moved to Adams where her husband died in 1967. Since then she has lived with her daughter for the past 9 1/2 years in Downers Grove, Illinois. She died Monday, July 11, at Four Seasons Nursing Home at the age of 94.
Funeral services were at 2pm Thursday, July 14, at Roseberry'g Funeral Home Rev Glenn Dunn officiating. Burial followed in Easton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herbert Babcock, Bill Morgan, John Breene, Al Robinson, Frances Robinson and Carlton Witt.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Beverly and Carl Johnson, 3 grandsons, David, Howard and Bernard and 1 granddaughter-in-law, jennie; also by one sister-in-law, Alice Smith of Adams and many nieces and nephews.
