Benjamin F Bailey, 90, Villa Pines Nursing Center, Friendship, died Tuesday, May 4, at the nursing home where he had lived for several years.
Services were at 1 pm Saturday, April 8, at Roseberry Funeral home, Friendship, the Rev Glenn Dunn officiating, with burial in Easton Cemetery, township of Easton. Pallbearers were Jimmy Bailey, Pat Scafe, Grady Reichhoff, Gordy Reichhoff, Lary Beier and Mike Clayde.
Mr Bailey was born April 10, 1886, at Chicago, and on Oct 12, 1907, he married Jennie Lamphear who died in 1957. He lived in the Easton area for many years and had worked as a machinist for Massey-Harris, retiring in 1951. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Methodist church in Racine.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs Helen Reichhoff, Rt 1, Adams; Vera Bailey and Mrs Elizabeth Scafe, both of Sparta; Mrs Martha Byer and Mrs Shirley Anderson, both of Racine; 16 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. A son, John, and a daughter, Florence, preceded him in death.
