Basil Van Wie, 72, Easton, died at 8:30am Sunday, Feb 19, at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Services were at 1:30pm Wednesday, Feb 22, at Roseberry Funeral Home, Friendship, the Rev George Anderson officiating. Burial was in Easton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Clifford Morgan, Ed Burdick, Steve Luedtke, Jim Heitman, kenny Heitman and Darrel Kurth.
Van Wie was born April 2, 1905 in the Town of Springville, a son of Elmer and Mable Van Wie. He worked in the paint department of Allen Bradley Corp, Milwaukee, until his retirement in 1967. He then moved back to Easton.
Survivors include one brother, Freeman, Friendship; two sisters, Hesper Cook, Wisconsin Dells, Reva Babcock, Easton.
