H F Rook of Friendship was in this office last week exhibiting the old courthouse key which he had artistically mounted on a black plaque which bears the following inscription: "Court House Key 1857-1913, Presented by H F Rook" The key was found in the attic of the old courthouse and attracted Mr Rook's attention by its size and shape. Made of brass, it weighs three ounces and looks like the original key to the city. The plaque and this interesting reminder of olden times will be on display from now on, on the walls of the county clerk's office so ably presided over by Willis Kurth.
