Extracted from the handwritten Obituaries file of Rev. Norris Olson, preserved at Norwegian American Historical Society, St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN. 

 Nels Bradley was born in Trondjiem, Norway Feb. 20, 1859. He came to this country as a young man and found employment with the Knapp Stout Company (Dunn County, Wis). A few years later he returned to Norway and brought back his wife and two children. They came directly to North Menomonie where he has resided ever since.

Mr. Bradley was one of the builders of the church in North Menomonie and took an active part in all church and community affairs until infirmities of age prevented him from doing so.

His wife and two children, Inga and Iver, and one granddaughter, Avis, preceded him in death.

Nels Bradley died at his home October 16. He leaves to mourn his death a son, Haakon, three daughters, Gertrude, Ragna, and Mary, and one granddaughter, Pearl.

 

NOTE:  According to Digitalarkivet, Nils Bredli, age 28, emigrated on April 6, 1887 to Menomonie with his wife Anna, age 30, and children Gjertrud, 4.5 yrs and Haagen .75 years old.

From Busethad og Folkeliv i Horg, Bind II, page 345 - Niels Iversen, b. 1859. Married in 1887 to Ane Hågensdatter from Flåbrenna in Flå, born 1857. Niels was the son of Iver Olsen Bredlimoen, b. 1828, d. 1862 and Randi Nielsdatter Bredlimoen (granneplass), b. 1831, d. 1901. The parents married in 1855 and had four children: Ole Iversen, b. 1858; Niels; Kjersti Iversdatter, b. 1856; and Iver Iversen, b. 1862. Iver emigrated to America in 1883.
