Old Robertson Bible

The following information is from the Old Robertson Bible I have in my possession and was passed down to me from my mother, Mrs. Reuben L. Robertson, having received it probably from Mrs. James Arthur Robertson, my paternal grandmother.  According to Lulie Davis, this was the Bible which belonged to Reuben Robertson who was married to Elvira Littell.

The Bible is in fair condition considering its age.  The first part of the Bible is missing and starts with pg. 13 of Genesis.

On the page for the start of The New Testament, the following information is shown pertaining to its printing and date:

THE NEW TESTAMENT OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST

TRANSLATED OUT OF THE ORIGINAL GREEK; AND WITH THE FORMER TRANSLATIONS DILIGENTLY COMPARED AND REVISED.  AND CANNE'S MARGINAL REFERENCES

STEREOTYPED BY JAMES CONNER,
NEW YORK, NEW-YORK PUBLISHED BY B. WAUGH AND T. MASON,
FOR THE METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, AT THE
CONFERENCE OFFICE, 14 CROSBY STREET.  J. COLLARD, PRINTER.

1833

The first two pages, which I will refer to as Pages 1,2,3,4, (front and back) are the same size as the Bible, have the same type border and are shown
as FAMILY RECORD.

The second two pages, which I will refer to as Pages 5,6,7,8, (front and back) are smaller in size than the Bible, have an ornate border and
are also shown as FAMILY RECORD with pg. 5 having two columns and labeled BIRTHS, pg. 6 having two columns and labeled MARRIAGES,
pg. 7 & 8 having two columns and labeled DEATHS.
