King County Search Dogs at Saar Cemetery

This was a training exercise for the dogs to try and discover human remains. One dog was allowed loose in the cemetery at a time to sniff at will. When a sniff of significance was obtained, the dog would immediately sit or lay down indicating the spot. For the second round of this exercise one of the volunteers probed many holes into the sloped hill between Lewis Warren and Mary Anderson. This released a more 'decomposing' odor and seemed like the dogs had more to notice. It was an extremely interesting event to witness.
