DOWNTOWN EVERETT - IMAGES OF AMERICA

"Downtown Everett - Images of America", edited by M. L. Dehm and published in 2005, is described on the back cover of the book as an "... entertaining volume (which) captures the unique story of Everett -- its people and places, businesses and landmarks -- in over 200 vintage photographs... It's a slice of local history not to be forgotten."

Four of the book's six chapters present images of Everett from the earliest days through 1916 - the Everett Massacre. Chapter Five, "After the Massacre", covers the 1920s through "modern days". Chapter Six, "Then and Now" is a most entertaining selection of "then" and "now" images of Everett.

"Downtown Everett - Images of America" can be found at local public libraries as well as the SIGS library at Humble House. Copies can be purchased at area bookstores or online at the website of Arcadia Publishing, http://www.arcadiapublishing.com/

An ASTERISK after a page number indicates that an image is associated with the NAME, PLACE or TOPIC.
