Looking for any information on Mary J. Carr. Her maiden name was Page. She married Samuel Dawson in 1870's. And then remarries a Abraham Carr sometime between 1890 and 1921. She was living in Vancouver, Clark County, WA in 1921. She is believed to have died in Seattle between 1830 and 1835. Marys parents were Alexander Page and Ruth Clark. Alexander remarried Eliza Thompson after Ruths death in 1870's. One of Mary's sisters Lydia (Page) Boyer lived in Portland, Oregon in 1921 and one of her brothers William Page also lived in Portland , Oregon in 1921. So far I only know of one child for Mary by her first marriage to Samuel Dawson. Their daughter was Zora Tillie Dawson born 1875. Zora married Horatio Huff and they lived in WA. Please info me if you info to share on any of the above names. Lillie

We are trying to locate someone from the Miller family descendants to reconnect them to today's families. The Millers were an important part of the whole early development of child rearing. The Higdon and Miller families came to the Washington Territory in 1875-76 and were important to the growth of the areas of Manor and Orchards. My wife's, Marietta, gr. grandfather John Brantley Higdon had 17 children and one of his daughter's children was raised by the Albert Miller family. John C. and Sarah (Cunningham) Miller were not mentioned in "Centennial Salute". Sarah and John are buried in Wilson Bridge Cemetery. John was married three times. He and his second wife Ellen (Fox) had a son Noah Albert. Albert married Flora Etta Dugan(sp). They took in the son of Maud Frances (Higdon) Sheeley in September 1935 to raise as their own. The boy's name was Raymond Lester Sheeley. Albert and Etta were mentioned in the Higdon Reunion minutes but nothing else could be found. The Higdon, Miller, Wood, Joy, Zimmerman families are intergral to our whole research. The following is a brief chart on the Miller family: 1 Elias MILLER born VA, Died KS + Catherine WINGER born PA, Died KS ...2 Mary E. BENSON/REDLINGSHAFER -- I am searching for any living relations of Ruth Rose REDLINGSHAFER BENSON. She died in Vancouver in March of 1973. Aunt Ruth was born near Kalispell, Montana on 1 April 1889. She was married to Ralph BENSON and they had at least three children: Vaughn, b. 12 March 1918, d. 3 Oct. 1988 in Vancouver; Waldo (d. 1903 in Modesto, CA); and Susie Rose (who was one of the first nurses in the county to sign up for duty in WWII). I have many photos and lots of information on the REDLINGSHAFERS to exchange. It's a shame that we have lost our connection in the years since our grandparents died. Please contact me at [email protected]. Thank You, Donnell

Hi, I'm on a search for my maternal grandmother's line. HANNAH LUCIA MCCORMICK (?-1944)first married CHARLES HANSEN and later married my grandfather, BENJAMIN STODDARD BENNETT (May 21, 1876 - ?) on Sept. 10, 1899. Her parents are believed to have been homesteaders in Pioneer, Washington, near Vancouver. There are family stories of at least three girls and one boy riding horseback to 'the fort' for supplies. The family may have come from the east via the Isthmus of Panama. The widow McCormick may have settled in the Tacoma area following her husbands death. Any help or suggestions for further research would be appreciated. I am happy to share Bennett (Mass.) and Castle (England) male lines. Thanks -Roger Bennett Castle [email protected]
