YINGER/RAUCH Added to a previous query...Henry YINGER married Christine RAUCH in Poland (or Volhynia..Russian, perhaps..) on Christmas Day, 1899; the two emigrated to the USA in July, 1900. I have recently discovered that Christine had a sister..Ernestine...and possibly a brother Johann (and other family), all in the states...Christine's parents moved in with her and husband Henry in Clark Co. WA, Vancouver or Battle Ground area some time in the 1920's, I think, where he died first; she followed a few years afterward...after being hit by a car while walking. As mentioned before, the YINGER clan was once the largest family in Clark County...they had 17 children, 15 of whom grew to maturity..and the youngest few are living today. The YINGERS owned the A-1 Dairy...with land in Vancouver and Washougal areas...Henry donated land to build St John Lutheran Church in Vancouver; and the Vancouver Mall was also built on YINGER farmland. Henry and Christine were my great grandparents. What I am ! looking for presently is: 1) An original surname for Henry's family...YINGER was taken upon entering the USA. 2) The first names and more information regarding Christine's parents. There are at least three of us out here working together, newfound "cousins" waiting on any information anyone might be able to find. Thank you!!
