The Vermont Historical Gazetteer: A Magazine Embracing a History of Each Town,Civil, Ecclesiastical, Briographical and Military, Edited by Abby Maria Hemenway Volume IV; 1882; Washington County

Gazetteer and Business Directory of Washington County, Vt. 1783-1889; originally compiled and published by Hamilton Child, Syracuse, N.Y. Contains history, biographies, people and places, state of things in the '80s.


Index to Known Cemetery Listings in Vermont, 3rd Edition compiled by Joann Nichols and published in 1995 by the Vermont Historical Society is a goldmine. It lists by county by town a most complete index of recorded cemetery inscription listings. From microfilm to genealogy quarterlies to books, it tells you where to find those so precious records.
