Charles Woodberry McLellan from Champlain, New York, began recording cemtery data with his father and wife about 1930. His records fill something over 150 volumes, and covered portions of northeastern New York, Quebec border areas, and Vermont (including all of Grand Isle County (complete), much of Franklin, Chittenden and Addison, and goodly portions of others). Not only did he record the data, but also made a sketch of each stone and described the kind of stone used. In 1982, he donated his cemetery data for Grand Isle, Addison, Chittenden and Franklin Counties (52 volumes) to the St. Albans Historical Society Museum, in St. Albans. Most if not all the remaining volumes are at the State University of New York (SUNY) Plattsburg College Library, and include not only northeastern New York counties, but some Canadian bordertown cemeteries as well. The following is an index of the volumes held by the St. Albans Museum.
