Marie-Amable Germain dit Belisle was a daughter of Charles-David Germain dit Belisle, later of Grand Isle Co., Vt., and of his second wife Marie-Archange Neveu. On the 1850 census of Grand Isle Co., Vt., the sons listed as "Ajaiva" and "Peter" in this household were her children by her first marriage. For "Ajaiva", cf. Ephraim Martin/Rock under the Martin/St. Martin family.

Son of the first marriage:

2.1 Louis Roque (Louis Roque and the late Josephte Charron)

m. 21 January 1834, Ste-Elisabeth Marguerite Paquin (Louis Paquin and Catherine Dufresne)

This particular connection is certain because of the following marriage:

Lescarbeau, Joseph, major son of Michel Lescarbeau and the late Rosalie Alaire of St-Lin Parish

m. 19 June 1848, Notre Dame de Montreal

Henriette Roque, major, daughter of Louis Roque and the late Louise [sic] Lescarbeau
