There is clearly some confusion in the above record. Either the name of Stanislas Meunier's mother or that of his father is confused in the printed marriage repertoire. It will be necessary to check out the baptisms for the family to give precision to the line, but the general family connection is correct.

1. Silas Miller/Stanislas Meunier dit Belrose. m. Lottie/Salles/Ada _____/Edesse Phaneuf, b. c. 1814. She and her daughters, 1850 census, North Hero, Vt., in the household of Louis Poquett. In the 1880 census, Alburgh, Ada Miller, aunt, age 66, b. Canada, in home of Heman Poquette. Mary Ada Belrose, b. 12 September 1812--d. 9 August 1897, buried South End Cemetery, South Hero, Vt.

"Ada Miller," the aunt, is almost certainly Edesse Phaneuf, above, and thus a sister of Louis Poquette's wife and an aunt of Heman Poquette. Stanislas Meunier/Bellerose seems to have died before the move to Grand Isle Co., Vt.
