From VT Route 15 in the center of the village, travel up Main Street past the Town Hall and Police Station and continue past the Hazen Union High School. Go north for about 1.5 miles. When you see a large farm on the left, look towards the right side and the cemetery is partially visible behind some buildings. Immediately past those buildings on the right is a lane leading to the cemetery. You may drive down this lane into the cemetery.
From Hardwick Main Street (Route 15 east), go up the hill on Glenside Street about 0.54 miles. When the road turns from asphalt to gravel, look for the cemetery on the left. You may drive into the cemetery.
Go through the village of East Hardwick and turn north onto East Church Street. Travel this road north for about 1.8 miles then turn sharp right onto the Bayley-Hazen Road. The cemetery is located on the left side of the road. You may park on the shoulder in front of the cemetery.
The burial ground is located on a hillside about 200 yards north of VT Route 15 at a point about 1.8 miles west of the intersection of VT Route 15 and VT Route 14 North. Best access is via the gravel pit. Ask the workers in the pit for permission to drive towards the burial ground. You will have to park your car, climb a gravel bank, and walk across a field. The stone will be seen in the line of trees.
The Federal Census of 1850 lists his wife as India Paine, with Susan, George, Sephronia, Amasa, Franklin, Charles, and Lucy Babbitt in his household. The Federal Census of 1860 lists India with the Post Office as South Hardwick. It would appear the family relocated.
From the intersection of VT Route 15 and VT Route 14 South (blinking light) in the center of the village, travel south about 0.2 miles. The cemetery will be on your left. You can park across the road at the Hardwick Bible Baptist Church or you may drive up a steep drive into the cemetery.
Turn right on Church Street at the Town Hall and Police Station. Church Street becomes Maple Street at the bend in the street. The cemetery is on the left and is visible from the street about 0.5 miles from VT Route 15. You may park on the shoulder in front of the cemetery.
From the center of East Hardwick village, go west 0.3 miles to Montgomery Road. Turn onto Montgomery Road and go 1.73 miles. The cemetery is very small (7 graves) and is located in a field. It appears people are permitted to drive to the cemetery though the field. If your vehicle does not have sufficient clearance, I would suggest you find alternate parking as the shoulders of the main road are not wide.
From the center of East Hardwick village, go west 0.3 miles to Montgomery Road. Turn onto Montgomery Road and go 0.53 miles. While the cemetery lies on both sides of the road, it appears the oldest burials are on the west side of the road. You may park on the shoulder in front of the cemetery.

From VT Route 15 west of Hardwick village, turn north onto VT Route 14. After about 1/4 mile, look for West Hill Road on your left. It is a sharp left turn and immediately goes into a steep climb on paved road. At the top of the hill, the surface turns to gravel and the land begins to level. The cemetery is just off the right side of the road, is enclosed by a white board fence, and is about 1.9 miles from VT Route 14. You may park on the shoulder in front of the cemetery.
