The museum is handicapped accessible by elevator. There is a museum of local interest in the old Academy Building (1893), now used as the town hall and other offices. Collections include costumes, documents, photographs, schoolbooks, farm tools, and souvenirs of local businesses.
Mr. Coffin also does a monthly local history column entitled "In Times Past" in the Journal-Opinion that covers Thetford, W. Fairlee,
Fairlee, Corinth, Topsham, Bradford, Newbury, Groton and Ryegate as well as the neighboring towns in Grafton, Co.
He has also posted 40 plus articles on his blog at [email protected].
Bradford Vital Statistics
Census reporting ends with the 1820 census. There were over 50 separate items of data gathered in the 1830 census. That fact and that names are not in alphabetical order make it impractical to report later years.
