                   Welcome to my web page.

My genealogical information is organized by family branch, and for each branch, the data is presented three different ways; ancestral family groups organized by generation, all family groups in the database, and all individuals in the database with pedigree, spouse and child links on each page.   Each section is completely indexed.  This site is also newer than the rest of this web site and more up to date; for instance, Jacob and Johanna Susanna Weiss's descendants.   (That is my father's female line, and I'd dearly love to find someone who shares the same maternal lineage who is willing to do mitochondrial DNA testing if I pay for it.  Jacob Weiss had five daughters who reached maturity, probably four by his second wife, and prolific descendants.)

Here are my pages from my older geocities site.   They are out of date and may contain incorrect genealogical information, but contain stories, documents, and other background.

These two documents contain a short ahnentafel of all 1000 or so of my own direct ancestors, and a list of everyone in my own public ancestral databases.

This page is the index page for my Rootsmagic site of all of Dora Smith's direct and traced collateral line ancestors.  One can access individual and family pages with information and notes from the highly navigable pedigree (it ain't Ancestry.com), and from the name indes.

My mother's New England and Montreal Ancestry

Note:   This information is also on Rootsweb, Worldconnect, and that information is updated far more often.  Please especially check there if you have reason to think I've actively taken interest in an ancestor in the last year or two.   Lowe Ancestors Worldconnect Database  For instance, some Lowe lines such as Joseph Dixon of Montreal; Cauthers and Miles; immediate descendants of William Raymond and Mercy Davis of Holden, MA.    Click on any letter and you get a list of surnames for that letter.   Or click on Index.

Here is the pages on my mother's ancestry from my older geocities site.  It includes Salem witches, gossips and judges, goblins, fanatical Puritan ministers, axe murders, Evangelical theology, London merchants, Rhode Island slavers, and letters and biographical journals of ancestors.

BREAKING NEWS!    I have cracked the mystery of Nathaniel Lowe's origins.   Nthaniel was born in 1812 in County Westmeath.   He joined the Royal Irish Constabulary in 1834.  He married Catherine Allen in Tuam, Co Galway, in 1837, and their first son, Henry Nathaniel, was baptized nearby in 1837.   He belonged to a family of Lowe's in Westmeath descended from two Cromwellian army officers who were granted land there in the mid 17th century.   This is a fast breaking story; I do not yet have most of the details.   Stay tuned.   Because the story is rapidly changing, up to date material on Nathaniel Lowe, Catherine Allen, and Henry Nathaniel Lowe is not on this web site, but in my databases at Rootsweb, which are much easier to update; they are linked from my Nathaniel Lowe research pages.

Westmeath Lowe genealogy  Note, these pages will not be updated anything like as often as the same data at Rootweb Worldconnect.

My father's Southeastern Pennsylvania Ancestry

Note: The same information is in my Rootsweb Worldconnect database, but because updating requires clicking two buttons, that site is updated far more often.   Please especially check there if you have reason to think I've taken an active interest in an ancestor in the last couple of years.  For instance, Jacob and Johanna Weiss of Highspire, Pennsylvania.

Family Trees of 23andMe, Gedmatch and Family Finder results with no public family trees available

My Genealogical Data

My autosomal DNA from Family Finder and 23andMe.  Family Tree DNA was giving Gedmatch grief over the privacy of user data, though the specific idea of uploading data to Gedmatch is to publicly share it.  Gedmatch atleast temporarily stopped letting people upload Family Tree DNA data, so I've published my complete raw data here.   To be sure, the 23andMe data is more complete, because I transferred it to Family Tree DNA, and in their infinte wisdom Family Tree DNA took out certain SNPs of medical importance they saw fit to protect me from knowing about.

Haplogroup I work on DF29 and Z131 haplotypes

DF29 and Z131 haplotypes for people who tested negative for L22, Z58 and Z63 - Excel spreadsheet.  From I1 project and other sources as available.  Updated about twice a week.

The following pages are also tracking the same set of developments, or contain tools for finding information about them.

SEMARGLE.ME  Tool for getting STR and other information with Family Tree DNA kit number or Y Search ID number.   Not foolproof, some of these

tools only work if you're in the right project.
