7.  Names in CAPITALS are those who have kindly given their patronage to the work, and without whose aid its publication would have been impossible. 

Railroad Stations are Clarendon, seven miles northeast; Wallingford, four miles east; West Rutland, eleven miles north, and Rutland, thirteen miles northeast.
