The Board and Officers of VFAR are pleased to announce that the archaeological materials and records from the excavations at Weyanoke Old Town, also known as 44PG0051 and "The Hatch Site", have been donated, in memory of Leverette B. ("Lefty") Gregory, to The Virginia Department of Historic Resources, where curation of the materials and study of the site's cultural significance will be greatly facilitated. 15 October 2016

The Board and Officers of VFAR are pleased to announce that the archaeological excavation records for Claremont Manor, 44Sy0005, are being scanned at the Natural History Museum of Virginia and will be deposited with The Virginia Department of Historic Resources where they can be made available to interested researchers. In addition, Dr. Elizabeth Moore of the Natural History Museum will be studying faunal remains from 44Sy0005 trashpits, which were donated to the Museum by VFAR. 7 December 2018
