of the Salyer-Lee Chapter 1417
The Salyer-Lee Chapter 1417 of the United
Daughters of the Confederacy was named for
Colonel Logan Henry Neal Salyer
commanding officer in the 50
th Virginia Infantry whose
enlistment
came primarily from Wise County, VA.
Also for our beloved and revered
General Robert E. Lee. Salyer-Lee
originally chartered on August 30, 1912 with 24 charter members.
The Salyer-Lee Chapter 1417 of the United
Daughters of the Confederacy
was re-chartered on June 17, 2002.
