Shirley Ann (Bishop) Hall Yakley June 07, 1940 - February 19, 2015 Shirley Ann Hall Yakley, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday (February 19, 2015) surrounded by her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, working with flowers, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Carrie Bishop; brother, Billy Bishop; her first husband and her children’s father, Victory Hall; and husband, Edd Yakley. She is survived by her children; three daughters, Pamela Bull, Victoria and husband Terry Frost, and April Hall; three sons, George Hall, Randy and wife Tab Hall, and Ronald Hall; four grandchildren, Joey Hall, Priscilla Hinkle, Michael Bowlin, and Sheyenne Frost; several great-grandchildren; three brothers; Sonny, Charles, and Ben Bishop; four sisters, Ruby Bishop, Annies Mclendon, Stella Woods, and Shirlena Reaves. The family will receive friends on Monday (February 23, 2015) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Charles Bishop officiating. Interment will be at Hermon United Methodist Cemetery (15175 E Carters Valley Road Gate City) on WEDNESDAY (February 25, 2015) at noon. ROGERSVILLE — Arlon Yankee, 83, of Rogersville, passed away Monday (May 5, 2008) at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during War World II. He was of the Christian faith and was a retired employee of Holston Defense. He was preceded in death by his daddy and mother, Homer and Georgia Yankee; sister, Wanda McLain and husband, Garnie McLain; and two brothers, Dennis and Shelby Yankee . passed away on Friday (Nov. 14, 2008) following an extended illness. Kingsport Times-News Delbert D. Yarnell OSBORNE - Delbert D. Yarnell, 74, Osborne, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001. Mr. Yarnell was born March 25, 1927, at Lucas. He had retired as manager of S&W Supply, Osborne. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; a son, Mike of Piano, Texas; a daughter, Sheryl Gorsuch of Osborne; three brothers, Melvin and Eldon, both of Osborne, and Keith of Kansas City Mo.; a sister, Jane Anderson of Osborne and Delilah Wilcoxson of Lacrosse; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Christian Church, Osborne. Burial will be in Osborne Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Osborne County Memorial Hospital or the church. Lee (Gillenwater) Yoakley She was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She loved to do embroidering,
gardening and growing flowers of any kind, especially roses. Mrs. Yoakley was preceded in death
by her husband, Ernest V. Yoakley, Sr.; her parents, Neal and Rosie
Gillenwater; brothers, George, Otis, J.C. along with an infant sister,
Macy Gillenwater. Annis Yoakley is survived by her
daughter, Judy Smith and husband Anthony; son, Ernest V. Yoakley Jr. and
wife Sheila; three grandchildren, Crystal Hasting and husband James,
Jessica Eddins and husband Wesley, Adam Yoakley seven great grandchildren,
plus one expecting; six step great grandchildren; three brothers, Charles

Denna Willlard Young Obituary from Kingsport Times-News for descendants of Scott Co
Ancestors. KINGSPORT — Denna W. Young , 92, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Sunday (April 27, 2008). He was born May 3, 1915, in Ripley, W.Va., and was the son of the late Franklin and Elpha (Vannest) Young . Denna retired from the Dupont Belle Meade plant after 35 years of service. He and his wife moved to Greeneville in the early 1980’s where they lived until recently. Mr. Young was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Greeneville. He loved his Savior and was looking forward to going home after a long life of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard Young ; eight brothers, Homer, Lewis, William, Gilbert, Owen, Charles, Howard and Robert Young ; and one sister, Hazel Young . He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Louise C. Young ; stepson, William McConnell; stepdaughter, Loretta Rice; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Young, 90, went to be with her Lord on Friday Oct. 24, 2008. Louise was born in Dungannon, Va. She and Denna lived in Scott Depot, W.Va. and moved to Greenville, Tenn. after Denna retired from Dupont Chemicals in 1978. Louise and Denna loved to travel and took advantage of their early years in retirement to explore the U.S. They were long-time members of First Baptist Church, Greeneville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 65 years, Denna Willard Young; her son, Richard Young; her parents, Arthur Casteel and Susie Hall Casteel; her brothers, Omar, Phillip, Paul, Carson and Logan; her sisters, Nannie, Pauline, Panna Blevins, Ella Blevins, Lula Ramsey, Jessie Smith; and her half-brother, Nathan. She is survived by her son, William Jack McConnell and his wife, Peggy, and her daughter Loretta. She is also survived by her half-sisters, Emily Franklin and Jeannette Henry; as well as six grandchildren, Teresa Carter, Gary McConnell, Russell Rice, Tina Lucas, Richard Young, Pam Grimes; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Submitted by Don Lane Samuel Ozro "Honey" Young STICKLEYVILLE, Va. - Samuel "Honey" Ozro Young, 56, went to be with his Lord Saturday (July 12, 2003) at his home in Stickleyville after a lengthy illness. Born in Duffield, Va., he was a son of Nelle Ann Young and the late Willie G. Young. He attended the Red Hill Memorial Church at Pattonsville and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the Army National Guard. He was a lieutenant with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Corrections for over 30 years. Sam was a loving husband, dad, son, papaw, brother and friend. He was also loved by his many nieces and nephews. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Jean Young; sons, SSgt. Samuel Scott Young (USAF) and his wife Kelley, Mt. Holly, N.J., and SSG. include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Young; four sons, Hubert Young, Vandalia,
Ohio; Harold Young, Stickleyville; Essie Young, Newark, Ohio; Sam Young,
Sheridan, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Spivey, Stickleyville, and Mrs.
Loriane Lawson, Greenfield, Ind.; a brother, Forest Young, Virginia Beach,

Margaret Elnora (Moore) Breeding Zaragoza LIMESTONE – Margaret Elnora Zaragoza, 62, passed away
Saturday, April 11, 2009. Ms. Zaragoza was born on Jan. 31, 1947 in Kingsport to the
late George Carson Moore and Mary Ellen Benton. She had lived in the local
area most of her life. Ms. Zaragoza was a graduate of Ketron High School
and had earned a nursing degree. She was employed at Greene Valley
Development Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother,
Paul Moore. Surviving are her son, Lincoln Breeding; two daughters,
Onda Wilson and Nikki Hoilman and husband, Sid; three grandsons, Slater
Wilson, Brandon Wilson, and Sidney Hoilman Jr.; five granddaughters,
Cortney Carr, Katy Lujan, Kayla Gillenwater, Alicia Breeding and Mindy
Guinn; a great-grandson, Jason Guinn; four great-granddaughters, Lea Carr,
Kira Breeding, Andreal Breeding and Anna Lisa Guinn; and two brothers,

Zimmerman Mary J. Hilton Zimmerman, 69, 6025 Orebank Rd., Kingsport, died Monday
(April 4, 1994) at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center after a
brief illness. She was born in Scott County, Va., and was a lifelong resident of
Kingsport. She had worked at Eastman many years ago, and was a graduate of
Shoemaker High School and Whitney's Business College. She was a homemaker,
and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Zimmerman in 1983;
her parents, Dota Fugate Hilton and George Hilton; and one grandson. Surviving are one son, Robert Lee Zimmerman, Kingsport; and two
grandchildren. Calling hours are from 6 to 8
p.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home

Paul Emerson Zion CANTON, Ga. — Paul E. Zion, 74, of Canton, Ga., (formerly of Kingsport), went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (Feb. 24, 2009) at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. Born in Slant, Va., Paul had lived most of his life in Kingsport and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Ketron Memorial United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Zion; his parents, Luther and Eliza Starnes Zion. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Cordell and husband, Bobby, of Canton, Ga.; two grandchildren, Bobby Cordell II and Vanessa Cordell; two sisters, Aleta Zion, of Irvin, Tex., and Linda Abbott and husband, John, of Kingsport; one brother, John Zion and wife, Terri of Chester, S.C.; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport.
