Division I Block 6a holds four 18ft by 18ft family sections. Earlier burial practices would allow space for at least ten adult graves and the grid used for our inventory is based on this ten grave spacing even when dealing with more recent burials. These adult size spaces are numbered (for the purpose of our inventory) one through ten.

                                         6 7 8 9 10
                       South North
                                         1 2 3 4 5

The space numbers in the lists below refer to the location of the grave marker and not necessarily the location of the body. Sometimes a grave marker sits in between two spaces and is labeled to reflect that (e.g. 1/2 sits in the middle of space 1 and space 2). The marker may have been originally placed in that location or shifted to that area due to soil erosion. If a grave marker holds more than one name we have not attempted to guess which space holds which body unless a footstone or other evidence makes the placement clear. It is common to find two or three markers in one "grave" space, especially where children have been buried.

NOTE: City cemetery record grave placement is radically different than the actual arrangement on-site and read: Annie Ellis at Grv 1, John Gibbon at Grv 2, John Trimble at Grv 4.
NOTE: Marie Trimble shares a headstone with her husband John Thomas Trimble at Space 9/10. Her actual burial location is Space 4/5 and verified by viewing this recent interment. Her burial is too recent to appear in our year 2000 copy of City cemetery records.
NOTE: NELLIE GIBBON is not listed in City cemetery records.
NOTE: Existing footstones for John and Nellie Gibbon indicate John is buried south of Nellie.
NOTE: City cemetery records list Nellie M. Gibbon as the owner of this family section.
NOTE: Four corner blocks inscribed "G" mark the boundaries of this section.
