Barker:  I am looking for any information on my Great Great Grandfather was Leonard Barker, who married Keturah Robinson (daughter of Francis Robinson) in Orange County VA January 29th 1810. Leonard Barker was born in Orange County May 3, 1790. The Barker Family Bible was known to have been lost while one of Leonard's sons was crossing a creek in Harrison County, Kentucky in 1840. Keturah died in either 1811 or very early 1812. Leonard remarried in Kentucky. Unfortunately we have no name for Leonard's father or mother and no location of their marriage or birth. I do have the marriage 'licence' of Leonard and Keturah. Any information is appreciated. John Alden Barker,

Burton: I am researching the family of May Burton Sr. and his descendents. There are records of Burtons in the area around the upper Rappahanock and Rapidan Rivers from the mid 1600's. The first ancestor I am aware of was John Burton of Caroline County, who died in 1735 and left and orphan, May Burton Sr. May chose Dunkin Bohannon as his guardian. Dunkin may have been his uncle, as both John Burton and Dunkin Bohannon were thought to have married daughters of John and Eleanor May.

May Burton Sr. married Hannah Medley in 1751. They had the following children: William, May Jr., Ambrose, James, Joseph, John, Mary, Elizabeth, Frances and Elijah. I am interested in sharing information with anyone researching this family from Orange County. Many thanks. Bob Burton, 1530 Baker, Liberty, MO 64068

Spaulding: Looking for any information about the Spaulding Family in Orange County. My direct ancestor, Robertson Spaulding was married there to a Fanny Jones, daughter of an Elijah Jones, by Rev. John Leland in 1789. The bond was witnessed by a John Pendleton, and James Taylor entered it into the court records. I believe that Robertson was a brother to a William Spaulding who married Elizabeth Tinder. Robertson and William Spaulding both moved with friends/allies to Woodford County, Kentucky in the late 1790's. Any information about the origin of this family would be appreciated. Timothy Spaulding, 2424 Longest Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40204

Lee: Researching the following Lee family in Orange Co.:  William Lee died 1810. His will names wife Sarah (his 2nd wife?) sons William, Charles, Nathaniel, Joseph, James, Abner; daughters Elizabeth Gambrell, Jeany (m. Berry) and Patsy. My direct line descends from son Joseph, but I'm interested in contacting any descendants of William (I).  Harriet Lee Welch, Rt. 1 - Box 155, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
