Holley a_____ resident of said County who being first duly sworn according to the law doth on his oath say that he moved to said County in the year of 18_7 and became acquainted with Mrs. Mary PAGAN, the widow of the said David PAGAN - about that time she having been the widow of Edward HARMAN dec'd of said County, and at the time he married her both of which husband deponent understood by reputation to have served in the Revolutionary War - HARMAN in the militia and PAGAN in the regular service he thinks in Illinois.  Deponant has always understood that Mrs. PAGAN was married to her husband HARMAN the year that Cornwallis was taken, and died about the year 1787 or 88 - and that in a few years she married the said David PAGAN.  That as regards the ages of the children of the said David and M!
ary PAGAN that in the year 1832 while he deponent was Captain of a Militia Company to which John PAGAN, their oldest son, belonged - that he the said John PAGAN was discharged from Malitia duty by the vote of the Company on the representation of the said __ PAGAN that he was muster ___ or 45 years old; which talement of his age from this knowledge of him was considered reasonable by the company to which he belonged, and from the knowledge that deponent has of said Jno.
