Mrs. Nancy Wickham, wife of Joseph Wickham, died January 12, 1918, aged seventy-five years.

She had been declining health of several months, but bore her trials and sufferings with much Christian fortitude, saying that she was ready to go when the summons should come.

She was the mother of four children, three sons and one daughter. Her husband, her son Alfred and her daughter, Dellar, preceded her to the grave; and we trust, she has gone to join her husband and departed children in that better world; for she professed a hope in Christ in early life and joined the church at Green Hill, February 1865; and always adorned the profession she had made the godly walk and conversation. The writer had the pleasure knowing her for over sixty years, and to know her was to love her.

She leaves two sons, L. D. Wickham, of Spray, N. C., and W. B. Wickham, of near Sturat, Virginia, with many other relatives and friends to morn their loss.

May her godly life be a benediction to her children, pointing them to the lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.

Her cousin,

Wm. J. Hancock
